Get a Small Business Makeover

AT&T has just launched a site site designed by and for small business owners and we have to say, it looks pretty good: expert advice on everything from technology to marketing, case studies, consulting help, you name it. To celebrate, the company is giving away Small Biz Tech Makeover -- more than $5,000 of stuff.

They want to know what you think about the new site features, advice and solutions. If you like it, or if you don't, and you want to write a review, please be sure to tag your post with AT&TInSite so it appears on the Technorati tag page.

You can also give your readers the chance to enter the AT&T Small Biz Tech Makeover online contest (you can enter too!). Expert advice and one year of free AT&T products and services will be awarded to the small business owner who can best explain his or her need for a technology makeover.

Prof Grrrrl is our BlogHer contest winner!

Congratulations to Prof Grrrrl, winner of the Technorati BlogHer contest. We asked the female bloggers to let us know how blogging has changed their life and how a trip to Santa Clara for next month's BlogHer conference would help her accomplish her goals. Prof Grrrrl's winning entry was selected from a selection of entries representing blog entrepreneurs, mothers, cooks, and authors. Prof Grrrrl is a public school teacher who shares many of her life experiences with the community she created on her blog. She sends postcards to her readers while on vacation, audioblogs while on dates, shares job advice and recipes, and conducts fashion polls to help her pick clothes. Prof Grrrrl jumped into blogging not knowing quite what to expect but it is obvious from her winning post just how much creating a blog and engaging a community has changed her life. Prof Grrrrl blogs under a pseudonym and asked that we not use her name or location in this announcement. Prof Grrrrl's winning entry was selected by a panel consisting of me and three female Technorati staff members.
